Georgian Airways, formerly Airzena, was established in 1993. Initially it was a charter flight operator but in 1999 Airzena became the flag carrier of Georgia. In August 2004, the company changed its name to Georgian Airways.
4L-TGC is a Boeing B737-800 which was delivered as new in January 2007 to the UK company XL Airways. It then worked between December 2008 and June 2019 as a charter flight plane for Anadolu Jet and SunExpress of Turkey and moved on to Georgian Airways in June 2019. It is a leased machine. Georgian Airways 4L-NIK is a Boeing B737 NG machine taken in use in 2009. It started its career as SAS Scandinavian "Hans Viking" and was moved in December 2022 to Gorgian as SAS' financial problems became ever bigger.
