The diesel multiple units of Renfe Media Distancia URD S/594 are based on the well-known "Rubberface" trains used in Sweden, Denmark, Israel and Belgium, but these ones do no longer have the very ugly rubber constructions around their "face". These were built by license in Spain by CAF. One train consists of two motorised wagons called Mc. The train is 47,35 metres long and has a top speed of 160 km/h. CAF delivered the first ones of these trains in 1997.
