Sorry for the poor quality picture, but there was no way of getting closer and taking a proper picture. This electric locomotive CP no. 4711 is of the Siemens type EuroSprinter ES46B1, of which Siemens built a small series of just 25 locomotives fror CP 2007-09. It is a 140 km/h fast four axle electric locomotive for 1668 mm gauge width and 25 kV AC electricity. They are all currently used by Medway (formerly CP Carga).

Angel trains

Angel trains locomotive 335.038 in full speed pulling a timber train past Vila Nova de Gaia station. Angel trains (former Alpha trains) is a locomotive leasing company, active not only in Portugal but in many other countries as well. The company is British. This locomotive is of the Stadler Rail type Euro 4000. Angel trains has 30 of them in use in Portugal and Spain. It is a six axle machine built by Vossloh EspaƱa, later Stadler Rail since 2006. It has an American EMD 16-710G3C-U2 engine giving it a power rating of 3178 kW. Top speed of this variant is 130 km/h. Since these machines very frequently are leased over and over again, it's hard to say for sure for which operator this train was working, but at least the company takargo runs timber trains from northern Spain (Galizia) to the ports of Portugal and the position and direction of this train would seem to suit that traffic. takargo has also some of its own similar Euro 4000 machines, painted red.
