Paper for Origami Since paper is the only material needed for Origami, choosing the paper is particularly important. Any paper that will withstand repeated folding without stretching such as giftwrap paper, writing paper, oro paper from magazines is acceptable. Experiment, and the right choice will be learned. The only requirement are that the paper can be cleanly folded and creased without tearing or ripping, and that it should have perfect right angles at the corners. So cut paper carefully and accurately. Giftwrap paper is easily available, the choices are endless, and often the search for the right paper is just the begining of the fun of the creative process. [one section cutted out] Of course real Origami paper can be purchased in stationery stores, pre-cut into squares. All figures, however, will turn out just as well if they are made with giftwrap paper. (c) 1986 Falken-Verlag GmbH
