Like last year, Bobby Rivers and an NBC crew was there on Sunday morning to broadcast live. A couple of people at work said they saw it and from their descriptions I'd say that he interview Alex Mason again, though this year Alex is competing as an Intermediate and in Quad. (I believe he's 6 or around there) It also sounded like they showed Brian Vanderslice on his grass skis. I don't know if anybody taped it. Newsday, Long Island's main newspaper, ran a 1 page article on Monday with pictures of Claudia Messier helping a young flyer, a stack of Claudia's father's (John Martin) Dynakites, and Corrine & Melinda Iasilli holding an Airmaster delta. The article contained quotes from Suzanne Edison, Abel Ortega, Chuck Conner, Corrine & Melinda Iasilli and David Gomberg. The Newsday reporter started coverage at Jones Beach on Friday while people practiced and Saturday during competition. She also started learning to fly a stunt kite.
