Subject: Lurking in Florida Fellow Kiters, Well i read the post from Andrew about the increase in posts to r.k. I say the more the merrier. I do agree that person to person comments should be e-mailed but, if you want a wide audience for a question you have r.k is the best place to find an answer. I think that the number of people that post regularly is small enough that we all "know" each other. SO, I say post it up!! Well the flying here in Northern Florida (Gainesville and St. Augustine) has been superb lately. The spring winds have been in full effect. I got to fly all day every day last week during spring break. :) I do have a question about lines. I am looking for some light wind lines. Any suggestions on lines around the 25 to 50 pound stregnth? I am trying to do some no wind flying with my Spook Featherlite (by R. Kites) and my 80 pound line is just to heavy. Also, I am looking for some lightweight sleeving material to go with my new light lines. One final note. Reed Welsh and myself have set up a regional competition in St.Augustine Beach for the second weekend in June. If anyone is interested please mail me. Spiderline do twisted, waxed, Spectra at 25lb, 45lb and (I think) 65lb. It's nice stuff (I've had no trouble with it being twist) and I've never broken it yet (hands up who's flown a bigger kite than me on <50lb line) :-) Andrew -- Work: gaffer@rec.com Phone: +44 793 614 110 Fax: +44 793 614 297 Play: andrew@tug.com Phone: +44 256 464 912 Post only stuff of general interest Don't quote more than necessary.
