Is there a kite club in Central NJ (that would have the patience to deal with beginners?) I have a sturdy delta stunt kite and can do the basic moves, also just bought a Rev Backtracker because the guy at the kite loft said it can take the abuse a beginner can dish out (also $ considerations!) Are there any publications that would be recommended for info and instruction without being toooo technical? At this point, I don't want to be overwhelmed or confused. Any help appreciated! It's a small, regional festival with demos and some fairly laid back competition. A good time to make some friends and get a few pointers. While you're there you might want to pick up a subscription to Sport Kiting. It's $15 for four issues. It has the best coverage of sport kiting events, fliers, tips and techniques, etc. ... but then, I'm biased being the editor. I'll look for you there.
