Limited access to wuarchive and other FTP sites *may* come in the future. Dial up one of these numbers, hit return a couple of times until you get a "Please enter class" prompt, and respond with "bbs". 701-237-8661 NDSU Fargo 3/12 701-232-2523 NDSU Fargo 3/12 701-232-2573 NDSU Fargo 3/12/24 701-237-7790 NDSU Fargo 3/12/24 701-232-2452 NDSU Fargo 3/12/24 701-237-4281 NDSU Fargo 9600+ V.42 701-237-4752 NDSU Fargo 9600+ V.42 This system runs a locally developed conferencing system called "QueII" on top of Interactive 386/ix (System Vr3) on a 16MHZ Zenith 386. It's known to the internet as milo.ndsu.nodak.edu and via the maps as milo.uucp. NDSU has only six V.42 dialups and Milo has only six ports on the port selector. QueII is really little more than a slick menued shell to Unix that calls weird programs like "rn" and "tin" (they catch flack all the time from BBS users who don't like rn). You'll want to find either the remote newsreader (read only; no posting) or the remote file browser. You can download with X/Y/Zmodem or Kermit. Sorry, no uucp (it won't accept anonymous connections). My login there is "rtfm" :-) but you'll probably get better help faster from "operator". Enjoy! Glen Overby
