This archive contains binaries of wafe and mofe (version 1.0.12) for Linux and several sample scripts. The full source can be obtained from ftp.wu-wien.ac.at:pub/src/X11/wafe/* These binaries were built under Linux 1.2.8 using gcc version 2.6.4 snapshot 950530 . The following DLL libraries (from X11R6) will be needed: mohegan:~/wafe/src> ldd wafe libXpm.so.4 (DLL Jump 4.4) => /usr/i486-linuxaout/lib/libXpm.so.4.4 libXaw3d.so.6 (DLL Jump 6.0pl1) => /usr/i486-linuxaout/lib/libXaw3d.so.6.0.1 libXt.so.6 (DLL Jump 6.0) => /usr/i486-linuxaout/lib/libXt.so.6.0 libX11.so.6 (DLL Jump 6.0) => /usr/i486-linuxaout/lib/libX11.so.6.0 libtcl.so.3 (DLL Jump 3.1) => /usr/i486-linuxaout/lib/libtcl.so.3.1.0 libm.so.4 (DLL Jump 4.6pl28) => /lib/libm.so.4.6.27 libc.so.4 (DLL Jump 4.7pl2) => /lib/libc.so.4.7.2 mohegan:~/wafe/src> ldd mofe libXpm.so.4 (DLL Jump 4.0) => /usr/i486-linuxaout/lib/libXpm.so.4.4 libXt.so.3 (DLL Jump 3.1) => /usr/i486-linuxaout/lib/libXt.so.3.1.0 libX11.so.3 (DLL Jump 3.1) => /usr/i486-linuxaout/lib/libX11.so.3.1.0 libtcl.so.3 (DLL Jump 3.1) => /usr/i486-linuxaout/lib/libtcl.so.3.1.0 libm.so.4 (DLL Jump 4.5pl19) => /lib/libm.so.4.6.27 libc.so.4 (DLL Jump 4.5pl19) => /lib/libc.so.4.7.2 wafe was built using the following packages: ATHENA XAW3D DEBUG CLOCK GHOSTVIEW HTML LAYOUT PLOTTER RDD XPM mofe was built using: MOTIF11 MOTIF12 MOTIF20 DEBUG CLOCK GHOSTVIEW HTML LAYOUT MTREE PLOTTER RDD XBAE XEW XMGRAPH XPM This version of mofe is statically linked with OSF/Motif 2.0.0 obtained by me from MetroLink Inc. A version of Xaw3d (X11R6) for Linux can be obtained for example from ftp.wu-wien.ac.at:/pub/src/X11/wafe/Xaw3d-1.0.1-src.tar.gz ftp.wu-wien.ac.at:/pub/src/X11/wafe/Xaw3d-1.0.1-bin.tar.gz For more details converning various versions of Xaw3d please consult http://www.wu-wien/wafe/Xaw3d.html The sample scripts provided in wafe/src/tcl starting with "m-" are for the Motif version of Wafe (mofe), the others are for the Athena version (wafe). The full Wafe distribution contains much more sample programs containing a news reader, mail client, various monitoring programs, etc. If you obtain the full distribution, skip the part of building wafe and use the binaries provided here (if you want). Expand the tar file relativ to the root directory to install the library properly, test the scripts and place the binaries into your favourite locations. Gustaf Neumann
