From: cwagar@ducvax.auburn.edu (B. Clayton Wagar -= Auburn University =-) Newsgroups: rec.radio.shortwave Subject: Disney Frequencies Galore Date: 16 Oct 91 20:29:16 GMT OK, for all of you guys that can't put your radio down when you go on vacation - The (un)official list of Walt Disney World Frequencies. (I'll give you a hint... I work at the Magic Kingdom, so this is about as official as it gets.) All of these frequencies are confirmed; They were obtained from WDW Radio/Audio Central and traffic has been heard on each frequency. Anything with a * indicates simplex and probably very low power. (The radios we use at 20,000 leagues are only 1 watt for operators and 4 watts for leads) If you don't hear anything, don't yell at me about it, you just aren't patient enough! 151.895 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea * 452.650 Cash Control (Wells Fargo Trucks) * 463.975 Custodial Base (EC and MK) 469.3375 E - Stops (Attractions) * 148.100 E-Stop Great Movie Ride * 462.550 Entertainment 1 (Characters) 461.300 Entertainment 2 (Parade Dispatch/Traffic) 464.9375 Entertainment 3 * 464.500 Entertainment 4 (Special) 453.825 Fire Channel 1 (Reedy Creek Fire Rescue) 463.750 Hailing (Disney - MGM Studios) 464.125 Hailing (EPCOT Center) 464.400 Hailing (Magic Kingdom) 154.47875 Light Barges (Electrical Water Pageant) * 462.675 Maintenance 1 (EPCOT Center) 464.625 Maintenance 2 (Magic Kingdom) 464.800 Maintenance 3 (Disney - MGM Studios) 462.650 Operations 1 (EPCOT Center) 462.575 Operations 2 (Monorails) 462.625 Operations 3 (Magic Kingdom) 461.600 Operations 5 (Disney - MGM Studios) 464.600 Operations Simplex * 157.740 Pagers (no input) 462.775 Pagers (no input) 462.850 Pagers (no input) 464.0625 People Finder * 468.8125 Point of Sale Systems * 462.475 Reedy Creek Energy Services 464.200 Resorts 1 461.700 S.T.E.P. (Fireworks) 151.655 Space Mountain/Riverboats/Studio Trams * 451.500 VUT 461.3375 Warehouses 1 * 461.9125 Warehouses 2 * Also, Disney is steadily moving a lot of stuff to a 12 channel trunked system in the 800's. Currently, Security, Resorts, and Watercraft (plus some V.I.P's) use the system. I've seen the charts, and most of the traffic will move there within the next few years. Also, Disney should be setting up a 900's trunked system also. So, many of t non-theme park frequencies may be moving there. . If you would like to know who to listen for on each channel, give me a note at: Internet: cwagar@ducvax.auburn.edu America Online: "YenSid1" Fidonet: 3613/13.20 (I think...) Also, if you have any good frequencies to trade (especially State of Florida or Alabama) drop me a line. I spent a good part of my summer sitting in Walt Disney World searching for frequencies... I'd like to think that _someone_ appreciates it......! Well, that's all I have (and that's alot!). Happy Scanning....!
