Participants (see list at end of loggings) began arriving around 1400 local time and immediately began rolling out the beverage antennas along the NNW- SSE axis of the beach and access road. We all broke camp around 0730 the next morning after a long night of DXing. Weather conditions were tolerable; it was in the 70F range most of the night, with east winds around 15 to 20 knots with frequent heavy rain showers. The mosquito bloodletting index was probably the best ever noted, thanks to an unseasonal cold snap a couple of weeks before. The base electrical noise level was quite low/good, but thunderstorms in the vicinity produced some occasional deafening QRM. Most of us DXed from our cars, except for George who arrived in an aircraft carrier sized RV. Dave Grubbs N4EF & son paid a brief visit in the afternoon for the official CANAVDX photo opportunity. No illegal aliens or giant shark catches were seen this time around, but one guy did get locked in the park and had to be sprung by Volusia County SO.
