Description

CD-Gate is a CD Player which displays titles, songs,
movements, composers, performers, etc... and manages your
collection of CDs.

- CD-Gate can play any CD as long as it contains at least
  ONE audio track.
- CD-Gate facilitates the entry of the data describing the
  the contents of the CD:
    - Various genres are supported:
        - Classical, Opera
        - Pop/Rock, Jazz
        - Litterature, Theatre
        - Etc.
    - Composers (& Lyricists)
        - A large database of classical composers is included
    - Work Titles (Symphony, Concertos, Opera, Album, Play, etc.)
    - Track Titles (Movement, Aria, Songs, etc.)
        - Auto Movement-Numbering for classical CDs
    - Performers
- Auto Numbering of Movement
- Auto Capitalization for Song Titles
- Displays of the Table-Of-Contents (of the current or any CD)
- Displays of your complete collection (on-line or off-line)
- Fuzzy-Search of CD ID No. to allow for transport from one computer to another
- Search by field - and cross referencing
- Editing capability for any field (registration required)
- CD controls (Play, Rewind, Track Seek, etc.)
- Seek feature by pointing to the gauge
- Time displays for each track (playing/total) (count up/down)
- Time displays for the CD (playing/total) (count up/down)
- Invoke mixer

Click the "Hints" key in the PRS Corp. form to get an idea...

Note: If you wish, you may delete cd_db0.txt to cd_db4.txt
to start your database from scratch. But do NOT delete
cd_comp.txt (the composer's database). If you do delete
the data in cd_db?.txt and you happen to have one of the CDs
already in my database, you'll have to re-enter its data.
If you keep these files, you might be lucky: who knows, you
and I may have some of the same albums!

Minimum Requirements

    - IBM PC compatible machine with a CD/CD-ROM player;
    - MS Windows Version 3.1 or later;
    - Microsoft (or compatible) mouse;
    - Display minimum: 540x480 x 16 colors;
    - MCI.VBX and THREED.VBX in the \windows\system dir. (incl.)
    - VBRUN300.DLL in the \windows\system dir.
