S U N D A Y S N I P P E T S (tm) # 6 6 12 May '96 The Shed Blood A Sonnet Copyright 1994 by Robert Grob Because He was the son of man He could Identify and act on my behalf So sinless, there He hung upon that wood Blood running from his side and down his calf. As Son of God His sacrifice was such It was sufficient to atone for me And as His blood was shed, He loved so much It was enough to set the whole world free. Because He knew I could not pay the price His bloody payment for my sins was made Through substitutionary sacrifice That I might find salvation through His aid. God's dictum from beginning had been laid: Without shed blood atonement can't be made. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Sunday Snippets" is the trademark of G.
