S U N D A Y S N I P P E T S (tm) # 4 3 24 Sept. 95 A HYMN - A PRAYER Help us, O Lord, to take thy Word A lamp unto our feet And May its light our path make bright Thru scenes both sad and sweet To give us light, O Lord, aright Thy Book, thy law to read Thy truth make clear, and draw Thou near Unto each waiting heart That Grace may see our God in thee Thy Grace to all impart In each heart, Lord, plant thy true Word In water and make it grow That it may there rich fruitage grow And glory to Thee show Lord, each soul bind to Him so kind The Word that flesh became The One who gave Himself to save Us from our guilt and shame Lord, Help us know this Word and show It in our lives each day And Thou above, Whose name is "Love" Us keep in thy good way Lord, be our stay, make plain Thy way And keep us in Thy fear In sun or shade, be thou our aid In joy or pain be near Thou guide Divine, not ours but Thine Thy will so let it be O, hear our prayer, Lord, for us care And keep our trust in Thee.
