Flixbus has been a famous brand for private long distance buses in Germany, Swizerland and some other neighbouring countries. Flixtrain was launched in 2018, partly by rebranding already existing private long distance train services. What used to be HKX (Hamburg-Köln-Express) and BTE, BahnTouristikExpress continue now under the name and colours of Flixtrain. Currently Flixtrain operates also in Sweden and has applied for permission to operate in France. In Germany Flixtrain connects already more than 70 stations.
