Germany - Europorte (ex. Veolia Cargo France, GB Railfreight)

Europorte is a new name in freight business, mainly active in France. A major part of the company is the former Veolia Cargo France, but it also includes freight traffic through the Channel tunnel and the British company GB Railfreight.

This is a Euro 4000 locomotive, built in Valencia, Spain by Stadler Rail, former Vossloh EspaƱa. This machine is regeistered in France as the "class 0004 no. 009" and it is here seen just visiting Germany with a long rake of gas wagons. It's a mighty six-axle machine which weighs 123 tonnes. It's powered by an EMD 710 diesel, built by a subsidiary of Caterpillar. Its top speed is 130 km/h and it's configured to be used in France, Germany and Belgium.
